"Great, relaxing place!"

This place was awesome! Host was responsive and helpful. The location of the home was peaceful and relaxing. We caught fish in the pond, walked the trails and enjoyed the large deck and hot tub. Lots of bird activity, heard many different birds everyday. The house is traditional log home, you can tell the owners have put a lot of time, money and effort into making this such a lovely place. We actually loved it so much we added another night to our reservation. There are lots of activities to do in this beautiful area. Would definitely recommend!

A beautiful and peaceful way to celebrate our friend's birthday. The cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly need and is nestled in a beautiful secluded area sitting right by a pond. We spent our mornings sitting on the front porch watching the deer and birds and spent our evenings on the back deck by the fire. We even caught a couple fish in the pond. Marisa was fast at replying with any issue we had and even left goodies for us on the table to greet us. This is by far one of the best airbnbs we've stayed at.

Beautiful little cabin in the woods! Lot's to do outside. They had outdoor games, fishing, walking, a hot tub, a fireplace, and a grill. Inside was cozy, stocked and clean. They had PacMan, a massage chair, a fireplace, a TV, and boardgames. The host was friendly and helpful. The cabin was near a fun little artsy town call Nashville, Indiana. We hope to come back one day!

We thoroughly enjoyed this 5 Star Cabin! It felt like home. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is the place to be. We were there for 2 nights and never left the property. Our pup had so much fun playing frisbee all day in the front yard. We didn’t catch any fish, but it was cold so I didn’t expect to. The paddleboat is so much fun! Overall, this place was probably our favorite Airbnb experience. Very clean, quiet and cozy! The host was quick to respond and make sure that we were settled in with everything we needed. We will definitely be back.

"Total relaxation"

Everything was perfect and flowed smooth. The outdoor fire pit and hot tub at night took away any stress i had, then we'd sit in the massage chair and literally crash. Such a beautiful and peaceful place.

This property was beautiful and exactly how the listing described it! My wife and I enjoyed a peaceful weekend at the cabin and Marisa was kind enough to allow us to bring our dogs as well. She even added some personal decorations to celebrate our recent wedding and some local baked goods as well to really make us feel at home. It was the perfect private getaway we were looking for. Close to downtown Nashville as well where there were many shops and restaurants to enjoy. Highly recommend!

"Great cabin"

We planned to do some things locally, but once we checked in we never left. The trails, the pond, fire place on deck and hot tub kept us relaxed and on site. The place is spotless and not missing a thing. The loft bed looks out windows in both directions. Absolutely an amazing property.

Lovely, cozy cabin! Enjoyed the massage chair, comfy beds, extra blankets, and amazing hot tub!

"Heaven on earth"

This listing is 100% accurate in every way except ot's even better than they could possibly list it. It is secluded and just a wonderful, restful place full of beauty. They have a keurig WITH pods to choose. They had pastries for us from a local bakery and a complimentary bottle of sparkling grape juice. We have already booked our next stay for our anniversary so we cam spend more time outside exploring. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS STAY!! And i cannot forget to mention Marissa! She was easy to reach and quick to respond to emails. Excellent property management!!

"5-Star Solitude"

The name is accurate. A cabin with tons of amenities, including (this was December) a seasonal Christmas tree, fully decorated. The cabin sits more or less in the center of 20+ acres, so staying here really does put you in a world of your own. We hope to come back soon and in a different season to experience the place with leaves on the trees.

Beautiful scenery, lots of privacy, & very comfortable!

This cabin was absolutely gorgeous!! tucked away and peaceful. The cabin itself was gorgeous and we felt right at home. everything was very neat and clean and overall a very relaxing experience!! My husband and I did this for the night of our wedding ceremony and we were both so incredibly pleased! We would love to stay here again sometime!!

It was amazing and mesmerizing. Everything was so beautiful and so clean the cabin was decorated perfectly and all the amenities were amazing. We were there for two hours and my girlfriend already booked another weekend. Thank you so much for an amazing getaway. 10out of 10 rating!

We were here for just one night but it was the perfect luxury getaway in the woods. We would recommend!

"Wonderful Property"

This cabin is small but very well furnished. It was decorated well for the season. We were greeted with cookies and pastries which was very welcoming. The kitchen was fully stocked for those who wanted to cook or have coffee/tea (even though we didnt do any of those). Dish towels would have been nice but there were plenty of paper towels. The bedroom could have used another night stand- for us eyeglass wearing CPap machine users but the closet was stocked with games. The arcade game was an awesome addition to the living area. The bathroom is small and while I didnt care for the shower stall or shower head, it served its purpose. Be aware this is a dog friendly cabin. There were a few cleanliness issues upon arrival that the owner took care of immediately. Her communication was impeccable. Upstairs was the AMAZING massage chair that was awesome after a long day of walking. Outside is perfect: twenty private acres with a private fishing lake, canoe, paddleboat, bridge and trails. Theres bocce ball, putt-putt golf, cornhole and more. Theres a great piece of playgroup equipment if you have children. The hot tub was nice to relax in on cool nights and the fireplace was nice as well. Overall our stay was pleasant and we would definitely recommend to other couples or small families. The location is great, not too far from Nashville.

Not only was the cabin perfect, but the property it sat on was absolutely amazing. My wife and I really enjoyed exploring with our dog. He had a great time just running around free and enjoying all of the natural sights and smells. The cabin was perfectly secluded which was very nice. We will 100% book again, we loved this property so much.

I needed a quiet getaway to rejuvenate. It was also a birthday weekend away. My family including the dogs had a wonderful time. The pictures do not do the cabin and the property justice. It's beautiful. The weather was beautiful. The pastries were a very nice surprise. I can't name just one thing that was a favorite. I will be planning another stay in the future. We stayed for a long weekend for my sons birthday and had the best time. The cabin and the grounds were just beautiful! Very quiet and peaceful. We were welcomed with fresh flowers, pastries, and personalized treats for my sons birthday and my dog, very thoughtful! Will definitely stay again!!

Beautiful cabin oasis with superb accommodations!

Amazing: Exactly as described with touches of comfort! We arrived to fresh flowers and a welcome basket of sweet treats. Well stocked kitchen (all pots and pans, knives, assorted spices). Luxury toiletries (real toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash). Towels for both the shower and hot tub. Amazing land (maintained trails, stocked pond with paddle boat and floating dock).

Things to consider: My fiancé is 6'6", the shower proved challenging with regard to shower head height and shower stall width. I am 5'9", the shower was small but very nice. If you are tall, know the shower is a standard corner unit with a fixed above shower head. No hose on outdoor hose bibbs. Trails were muddy following thunderstorms, this proved challenging when it came to cleaning off muddy dogs. We ended up using a pitcher to access clean water outside. Definitely bring a hose if you are bringing dogs.

We had an absolutely lovely time!

The home and property are absolutely amazing! So beautiful and so much to do on site, yet also so close to Brown County State Park and adorable downtown Nashville. I would absolutely stay again!

Such a peaceful oasis! My Wife, her sister, husband and me all wanted to get away to a pet friendly retreat. We chose this cabin for its private and peaceful surroundings and it did not disappoint.
From enjoying a cup of tea on a beautiful morning on the front porch watching the bunnies play and the birds sing, to fishing on the small private lake with the pedal boat and canoe, to grilling out at night, sitting in the hot tub and enjoying a night cap in front of the outside fireplace, it was all wonderful!
The cabin itself was spotless and has two good sized beds. Honestly we didn’t spend much time indoors as the outdoors was so lovely.
We went to the local town Nashville, IN which has quaint shopping and nice places to eat.
All in all, this was the perfect getaway that we had imagined and I can’t thank Marisa enough for her responsiveness (within minutes) ti any questions and for making us feel welcome. Our pets thoroughly enjoyed it too!
We will definitely be back.

We were thrilled with our stay at Marisa’s place. This cabin was so lovely and seemed as if we were all alone surrounded by beautiful forest in the back and peaceful clearings out front. There were easy trails if we felt like a hike, and a comfortable deck to hang out on if we just wanted to chill. The amenities were a wonderful surprise, as we were able to play Pacman and take the kinks out of our muscles in the massage chair. We felt so lucky to spend the weekend there. Even the drive to the cabin was a treat on the well-paved back roads through rolling countryside. This is a special place we hope to visit again.

Host was super responsive. Facilities were clean and comfy. Host included plenty of goodies. We enjoyed it so much we spent our entire trip on-site.

"A Secluded Property with Stunning Lake"

Beautiful secluded property with plenty of open space for recreating in the front yard and beautiful lake with a low suspension bridge to explore. The back “patio” was beautiful with a barbecue , hot tub and stone fireplace overlooking a wooded ravine and lake. This getaway was just what we were looking for ! The cabin itself was well appointed with a lovely kitchen , large common area and 2 nice bedrooms. I cannot think of a single item missing in this cabin. Also noted we’re fishing poles a Jon boat a play ground bocce and so on. NICELY DONE !! Terry

awesome place magical getaway

This is a cute cabin!! We had our dogs and they loved the woods and trails. Situated only minutes from Nashville, IN where local artists and shopping is available. The owners made us feel welcome with the seasonal décor and treats for us to enjoy.

This was our third stay. This place is incredibly special. It is private and peaceful and beyond comfortable. Absolutely wonderful!

You can't go wrong choosing this cabin! It's extremely clean, well-stocked with common necessities and it has everything you might want for a peaceful getaway.

We were lucky to have the perfect weather to enjoy their property. Our son loved climbing the castle and our dogs loved the pond. My husband and I usually go into town to find a trail to run with our dogs and toddler, but this year, I was delighted to find they had a nice yard, with trails through the woods that we could run with our jogging stroller. With such a beautiful property, we found ourselves hanging around the cabin most of the time. We were all very comfortable there.

My husband and I were in awe of how clean the cabin is. Over the years we have found most cabins tend to be a little dusty due to the coarse wood walls, but Marisa's cabin very clean. We were both very impressed with it's cleanliness throughout.

With about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Nashville, the property and location was ideal.

The cabin is bright and beautiful! The view from the loft bed is ideal to wake up to -- and do yourself a favor, and enjoy the "free 15 minute massage" in the massage chair!

Marisa was very accommodating and communicated very well. We hope everyone has as wonderful of a time at this home as we did.

Stay here! This cabin is a spot of tranquility. Do yourself a favor and turn off the HVAC - open the window in the downstairs bedroom and enjoy listening to the outside fountain. This cabin is beautiful and delightfully appointed. Great mattress and sheets for a wonderful sleep after the hot tub! The outdoor space is to die for, and I was lucky enough to stay during rainstorms which sounded soothing from the covered deck chairs. Fantastic peaceful spot. You'll love it.

A hidden gem. We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. All the amenities were great. The appliances were brand new. A nice TV and the Wi-Fi worked great. A 20 min drive away to downtown Nashville. Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was great! Check in couldn’t be any easier, it is not far from a grocery store, and it is just 15-20 minutes from downtown Nashville! The property itself was amazing and has quite a bit to do on it. Having the covered outdoor areas for the hot tub, the outdoor fireplace, and the grill are a huge plus!! Would definitely recommend and plan on staying here again!

Just an absolutely perfect cabin stay - we are telling our family and friends to make their reservations soon too! Marisa has thought of everything for you, so you can relax all weekend in the hot tub! The massage chair and Pac-Man arcade game were such bonuses!! We will definitely be back!

If you're looking for ultimate relaxation in Brown County, this cabin is it. Everything about the place was perfect. The property is quiet and beautiful with lots of areas to walk with our dog. The cabin was super clean and cozy, with lots of little touches that made our stay perfect, including local cupcakes left for us by the owner. The holiday decorations legit made us feel like we were in a Hallmark movie 😀
While this is not the least expensive option in the area, the amenities make it worth the price—inside fireplace, outside fireplace, hot tub, and
full-body massage chair, not to mention Pac Man! It only took 20 minutes to get to Nashville for restaurants and shopping and there are plenty of hiking trails around. We loved every minute of our stay and this is the first time we've decided on a repeat (potentially annually) visit to a particular Airbnb because it was so fabulous. Highly recommend.

An absolutely idyllic getaway! We spent a weekend at this lovely cabin before the chaos of the holiday season and cannot recommend it enough. Beautifully decorated for the holidays and a wonderful coffee cake from a local bakery was waiting for us upon arrival. Cozy, quaint, and secluded! Everything okay we hoped for and definitely plan on returning!

This was out second visit to the schoolhouse cabin. We have loved both trips for the ability to just stay on the property, in peace and quiet, with plenty of activities to keep us all busy.

The cabin was immaculate, decorated for fall, and we had ALL the amenities from salt and pepper to the hot tub and outside fireplace. It was easy to walk down a short path and go fishing. Secluded, relaxing, highly recommend.

A perfect cabin to get away and relax. Everything is to the highest standards from the comfort of the king size bed, to the comfy towels, and the amazing back porch setting which includes a gas grill, hot tub, and outdoor fireplace. Everything possible need has been considered. Marisa has thought of everything including some fun outdoor activities. The setting is magical. We will definitely be back next year.

Great place! Beautiful, clean, and well-appointed.

For seclusion in a clean, well maintained cabin- this is the place. We spent a weekend there away, just my wife and I. From the hot tub, outdoor fireplace, and a great little pond for fishing- there was plenty of fun and relaxation. We will definitely be booking again, and will take our kids along so they can enjoy it as much as we did.

Definitely recommend this cabin and using Marisa. Didn't have to contact her much but she was very prompt when I did. The cabin was exactly like the pics and we fell in love with it and the property. Will definitely try to book this cabin again in the future. Great overall experience!!!

This place is so wonderful that I hesitated to write a review because we want to keep it all to ourselves. The beauty and secluded setting of the cabin is unbelievable. The lake, suspension bridge, bocce ball court and trail around the lake makes you never want to leave the cabin. Not even to go into Nashville. Waking up in the morning in the loft bedroom and looking out of the large windows into the timber was marvelous. The deck with the fireplace, grill and hot tub was the perfect place to relax and spend an entire day. Coffee on the deck in the morning was so peaceful. The sign at the entrance said it all - UNWIND

This little cabin was the best place for a quiet getaway!! The house was spotless, everything there and ready. They even had cupcakes from a little local bakery waiting for us. It was so peaceful, quiet and relaxing! The fishing was great, the outdoor area was amazing, and we could not of had a better time! We will definitely be back…and bringing the kids next time!!

This property is beautiful!! Very secluded. We caught and released several blue gill in the private pond. We were able to watch deer run in the huge yard. The amenities were awesome and the small details were appreciated. Only a short 10 minute drive to historic Nashville, IN.

We had a wonderful visit to the cabin! Our daughter, (almost 4), exclaimed several times, "This is AMAZING!!" We never had to leave the property as we had enough to do between the hot tub, trails, lake, bridge, and large yard.

At the time of booking this was the only way we could do a vacation as we weren't ready to be around a lot of people. This is truly seclusion at its finest! We were out in the country but didn't have to rough it. The kitchen is well stocked and we appreciated all the little extras...including the special treat waiting in the fridge. There was even a little step stool for my daughter to use to wash hands and brush teeth. Beds were really comfy too.

We would definitely come back.

This property is beautiful and secluded and absolutely thrilled us with choosing it the second we opened the door. There are so many things we discovered each day to make our stay more wonderful than the day before. We just had a wonderful stay. The house is sparkling clean and everything feels new and/or really well cared for. The woods and small field in front make for lovely, relaxing views. There are fireflies in the trees at night! Note that one bedroom is a loft and the bathroom is off of the living room so light sleepers or folks who need privacy may not think ideal. The front porch and back deck were our favorite parts - spent vast majority of our time outside! Thank you for such a lovely stay, Marisa!

Absolutely beautiful property! We recently stayed at "A Cabin in Brown County" pictures don't do it justice. The cabin is very clean and cozy, the owners maintain the property and prepare the cabin for your stay.. spotless. They have thought of everything! Fresh flowers, a dessert waiting in the refrigerator, jars with candy and a snack basket, pantry items. Awesome place, very cozy, bed was very comfortable.. massage chair in the master bedroom. Love the back patio, it's covered, so no matters what the weather is, you can still enjoy it; and we did! We were outside more than inside. Thank you so much for being pet friendly! Hard to find a pet friendly cabin and if you do... it can't even begin to compare with this amazing place. Nice furniture and decor, new appliances, beautiful kitchen. Loved hiking the property, even found some morel mushrooms

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and on a fantastic plot of land. Marisa was kind enough to leave a treat from the bakery in town, and a number of other small treats. Perfect place for any season.

We had a great stay for my husbands birthday! We were greeted with a warm fire already burning and some birthday balloons displayed in the living room. There was even a birthday treat waiting in the fridge. We will definitely stay here again!

STOP looking for a cabin! This is the one. I am obsessive in researching places to stay before I pick them--I was not disappointed. The amenities and overall experience were beyond our expectations. The cabin and property are very private and provided a much needed getaway. The ONLY downside was I didn't catch a single fish in 3 days of trying---but that could be because I am a terrible fisherman. I will absolutely recommend this place to friends or stay here again myself.
