Moved from Brown County State Park, this spacious four bedroom log cabin built in 1940 has a rich history including serving as Nashville’s general store. Today, the homestead has been beautifully restored and offers a unique blend of rustic charm with boho chic interiors and modern amenities on 5 picturesque acres.
The cabin features a large eat-in kitchen, perfect for preparing meals for family and friends, as well as a spacious dining room and living room with a wood stove. There is also a cozy sunroom, ideal for playing cards or board games and enjoying the beautiful views of the back yard. The cabin also features a private office just in case you need to work remotely.
Outside there are multiple decks, porches, and sweet places to have a morning coffee, read, picnic, meditate or do yoga. You will enjoy finding your great place to start or finish the day! We all need a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life to reconnect with the people and things we love. Helmsburg Homestead is a peaceful, relaxed, and inspiring atmosphere and the perfect place to do just that.

Also, you can enjoy our Master Spas Swim Spa which is the ultimate in relaxation with the perfect water temperature, year-round! Designed specifically for those looking to incorporate exercise and swimming into their lives while enjoying the benefits of massage therapy you can swim, jog, walk, and exercise in the water without the stress gravity has on your body. Additional pool toys can be found in the storage bin on the great open entertaining deck.
This peaceful setting in Brown County is a dream property bordering Sycamore Land Trust on one side and featuring almost 5 acres of mature wooded rolling hills with trails as well as a flat manicured yard perfect for playing corn hole, horse shoes, badminton and disk golf. There’s also a spacious chicken coop providing fresh free range eggs, fenced pen, and lovingly tended gardens. You don’t want to miss the peonies blooming in the Springtime along the split rail fence!
You may never want to leave our homestead but literally right down the road is Deer Run Park. Small but charming, the park is situated along the banks of Deer Run Creek and features a variety of recreational activities for visitors to enjoy including canoeing and kayaking. The park's main attraction is its hiking trails, which wind through the woods and offer scenic views of the creek and surrounding area. Visitors can also enjoy fishing in the creek or have a picnic in one of the park's designated picnic areas. The park is a great place to relax and unwind, with plenty of natural beauty and peaceful surroundings.

Cancellation Policy
Reservations can be cancelled with no charge or penalty, except for a $50.00 cancellation fee, a full 15 days prior to the scheduled check-in date. Cancellations within 14 days or less of the scheduled arrival date will not be refunded for any reason. All cancellations must be made through the website or through email communication.
Deposit Policy
To confirm a reservation BCVR requires a nonrefundable deposit of payment equal to $50.00 to be paid at the time dates are secured and will be applied to your reservation total. Payment in full is required 15 days prior to the check-in date. BCVR will automatically charge the balance due to the original card on file 14 days prior to the check-in date. Reservations made within 14 days of the check-in date will be paid in full at the time the reservation is made.

This cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed! I loved gazing at all the decorations and hanging out in the reading room in the mornings and evenings. My family enjoyed coloring, playing board games, swimming in the hot tub, and visiting the cute little shops and restaurants in town. My oldest was obsessed with getting to see the chickens every day! And because we stayed here during Easter, my husband and I had fun hiding eggs all over for the kids to find in the morning. I just wish I'd known ahead of time that the child's bedroom with the crib is upstairs, while the master bedroom is downstairs and on the other side of the house. But that's really a small complaint to have. I'd love to come back a year or two from now in autumn, when I'm sure the surroundings are even more beautiful.

Host was extremely responsive. Unfortunately the swim spa was in the process of being fixed, but we enjoyed the board games, tv, kitchen amenities. Overall incredible weekend
We took a sisters trip with all of our daughters and this was the perfect place to stay. It is less than a 5 minute drive to shops and restaurants yet removed enough for peace and quiet when we wanted it. Perfect place to reset and enjoy one another’s company. We can’t wait to come back!

This property was nothing short of amazing and exceeded our expectations in every way. The booking and check in/out process couldn’t have been simpler. The cabin was fully stocked with all the comforts of home and then some. My wife and I were looking for a peaceful kid free getaway and we found it! Excellent get-away cabin near a very cute town. Lots to do in the area and Marissa was a very responsive and kind host. I would definitely love to return one day. The hot tub here is outstanding as well. This place would also be ideal for family trips for anyone looking to do that.

This property is so beautiful we intend to go back in warm weather! we planned to get out and explore but spent our time chatting in the sun room, and in the large awesome hot tub. this was the perfect relaxing getaway

So much to be thankful for ! The Homestead was just why was needed!! Our granddaughters 7 &10 from FL loved the space . They couldn’t get enough of exploring the grounds , the swing , hammock , and they loved the bedrooms upstairs . Our older grandchildren cane to visit on Thanksgiving and enjoyed the frisbee golf and all the room to explore . The large table was perfect to gather around and play games. The decor was very pleasing and comfortable. We had a great time and hoping we can stay again !
