Hoosier National Hideaway is a new cabin rental that is very convenient and close to Brown County, IN located in Jackson County, IN.
Hoosier National Hideaway is nestled in a secluded setting surrounded by the thousands of acres of Hoosier National Forest. This property offers a multitude of outdoor experiences as well as the opportunity to unplug and enjoy solitude and relaxation, all while totally immersed in nature! Relax in the hot tub while overlooking the forest or warm up next to the firepit.
Hoosier National Hideaway will be a memorable retreat for couples, friends or hunters looking for a woodland getaway. Outdoor activities abound right out the back door or within only a few minutes drive! Blaze your own trail through Hoosier National Forest or ride the many miles of asphalt and gravel within the forest. Take a hike or mountain bike through the miles of trails located in the Brown County State Park with some of the best mountain biking trails in the state. Charles Deam Wilderness also offers many hiking trails and sites. Jackson County is one of southern Indiana's most scenic counties. with views of farmland, meadows and rolling hills with beautiful wooded backdrops. Visit Chateau de Pique Winery, Medora Covered Bridge, Starve Hollow, and other picturesque locations along the way!
Sundance Lake is a short 4 minute drive from the cabin and offers the most magnificent view of the 5-acre lake surrounded by hardwood and pine trees. It is one of the most scenic spots in the forest! Specifically built for fishing, it is stocked with bluegill, red ear, bass, and channel catfish. Kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats are permitted on the lake. There are 2 large piers/decks overlooking the lake where one can just enjoy the view. Whether fishing, hiking, or simply relaxing on the pier with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, Sundance Lake offers something for everyone!
Hoosier National Forest has an abundance of turkey, white-tail deer, squirrels, and seasonal mushrooms. This property is completely engulfed by the forest, creating a hunter’s paradise! Travel the woods all day and then return to the comfort of this convenient cabin to relax!
You won’t have to worry about getting “cabin fever”! Despite its remote location, the cabin is only minutes from some of Brown County’s best hot spots. Only 10 minutes away is the lovely and scenic Salt Creek Winery, overlooking miles of rolling hills! How about dinner out? The historic Story Inn is a mere 15 minute drive and offers dining, a bar, and live music.
Planning to visit the shops in Nashville? The drive there is one of the most serene and scenic drives in southern Brown County!
The most dreaded phrase while on vacation: “Oh no, I forgot something!” Well, don’t be too discouraged! Just 10 minutes away, in a little place called Freetown, is a Dollar General Store! Well stocked (including a great produce section), this little store will have whatever you need!
This property offers 1 queen size bed and 1 pull out sofa. A Roku Smart TV will allow you to stream your most favorite shows!

Cancellation Policy
Reservations can be cancelled with no charge or penalty, except for a $50.00 cancellation fee, a full 15 days prior to the scheduled check-in date. Cancellations within 14 days or less of the scheduled arrival date will not be refunded for any reason. All cancellations must be made through the website or through email communication.
Deposit Policy
To confirm a reservation BCVR requires a nonrefundable deposit of payment equal to $50.00 to be paid at the time dates are secured and will be applied to your reservation total. Payment in full is required 15 days prior to the check-in date. BCVR will automatically charge the balance due to the original card on file 14 days prior to the check-in date. Reservations made within 14 days of the check-in date will be paid in full at the time the reservation is made.

Marissa’s cabin was PERFECT! The hot tub, deck + string lights, fire pit, and remote location with some of the best scenery Indiana has to offer was exactly what we were looking for. Being dog-friendly was a huge perk and my doodle enjoyed the space as much as we did! The property is very remote and private but sits within a fair distance to the restaurants and activities that make Brown County the perfect weekend getaway spot! 10/10 recommend!

"Great Cabin and Location"
This cabin had all of the amenities with a remote location away from the business of the city. A great place to really lay back and relax.
Our stay was amazing despite the fiasco with attempting modify the reservation, absolutely no fault of the host just an airbnb system bug that we had to try to contend with other than that the host was amazingly supportive and absolutely amazing! The cabin was fantastic and the location superb totally secluded from everything and everyone just as I wanted! I would absolutely recommend this location if you’re looking for privacy!

"Hoosier National Hideaway"
Honestly just great, no complaints, loved the cabin and the atmosphere
Describing this cabin in just one word would be impossible. Here are just a few of the ways I would describe National Hoosier Hideaway. Adorable, homey, relaxing, peaceful, secluded, welcoming, paradise in the woods. Ok, so that was three words but it is only a short list of characteristics that you can expect at NHH. Marisa was a great hostess to work with she answered any questions or requests we had promptly which was great. Using a GPS brought us right to the front door without any issues. The entry code worked flawlessly and easy. The interior of the cabin was very nicely decorated and instantly made you feel welcomed. The hot tub was amazing using it on a cool night and enjoying the sounds of nature. The bottle of wine and bunt cake was an unexpected surprise that just added to our wonderful weekend getaway. If you are looking for a nice getaway where you can enjoy some peace qnd quiet I highly recommend Hoosier National Hideaway.

Hoosier National Hideaway is a great cabin to stay in! The directions were spot on to get to it and the check in was simple and easy. The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had before and during my stay. The cabin itself is small but perfect for what we wanted. It has everything you would need. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, utensils and any seasoning you could ever want, plus a great coffee and hot cocoa selection of k cups. The back deck is the best part! The hot tub was so awesome, I loved it. All in all 10 out of 10, I’d recommend it to anyone who was looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and unwind.

"Weekend getaway"
We had a lovely time in the cabin. Its size is perfect for a couple. Amenities were as advertised, and the hot tub was a dream. The bed is very comfortable. Within 5 minutes of Sundance Lake. We went fishing but it was too cold to catch any. I suggest taking all your supplies, Dollar General was well stocked but extremely expensive.

My husband and I stayed here for a night and it was more than perfect! The scenery and hot tub were amazing. We only stayed one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!

The mattress is very soft, roll to the middle of bed. Need a little firmer mattress but this is the only downfall.

"Far enough"
Perfect distance from entertainment and far enough away to be secluded. Peace and quiet in the hot tub was much needed. Everything we needed for a quick two night getaway. Thanks and we’ll be back.

The location was very relaxing, clean, and exactly as advertised. Marisa the host was extremely courteous and nice and helped us find our way to the location when we were lost first day. She even helped us find a tow truck when we urgently needed one. Thank you!
This home was immaculate and beautifully updated. The hot tub is wonderful and the shed and home provided lots to do in the comfortable and peaceful space. Nearby there are cute shops and wonderful trails and views at Brown County State Park. We can't wait to come back.
We absolutely loved our stay here. We live about an hour away but needed a getaway for just the two of us for our 3rd anniversary. Hoosier National Hideaway was the perfect spot for some R&R. We really enjoyed Stone Head Nature Preserve which is about 10 minutes from the cabin. Overall it was very peaceful & the perfect setting for us to forget about work for a few days!

"Lovely Cabin in the Hills of Brown County"
A wonderful relaxing stay. Everything was better than we expected . I believe 6 cars passing by was the total we counted Yor our stay. We chose that location to view the meteor shower and do some telescope work but the weather did not cooperate. Though we caught an hour window Tuesday morning at 3:00am. The string lights On the back porch went out in Monday nights rain . Tried to reset GFI but no luck. The hot tub was a big plus for us. As we have o very similar Hot Springs model at home so we are addicted, lol. The Apple turnovers were most welcome as dinner due to our late arrival. All in all it was a calm ,relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. The dog boys , 2 25 & 28 lb.mini - labradoodles, loved the big yard and the opportunity to be off leash at times. Enjoyed a peaceful getaway from the city. Cabin is nestled in the forest, with lots of country charm. We enjoyed the drive through tree covered roads and farmland. Hot tub of course was a huge bonus, and though we didn’t use the fire pit, it was a great sitting area to listen to birds. The cabin was fully stocked too, with a thoughtful welcome gift of wine and cookies.. We were surprised to have a smart tv (ROKU) and ended up watching a movie. Would definitely recommend!

This sweet, cozy place was lovely! Peaceful, secluded, and very comfortable. The provided amenities and supplies were excellent, lots of kitchen necessities and pantry staples. We absolutely loved the area, took a walk down the lane and it was so quiet. The back deck was a wonderful place to spend some quiet time soaking in the hot tub, which was so very clean and comfortable.
There's a lot to do in the area, antique stops, shopping and yummy ice cream in Nashville, beautiful hiking and horseback riding in Brown County.
Highly recommend a stay at Hoosier National Hideaway!

My boyfriend and I had a quick stay here on our drive from Michigan to kentucky to sleep somewhere on our road trip. We enjoyed unwinding in the peaceful woodland environment. Spent some time in the hot tub relaxing. It’s a quaint place in the middle of the woods. Marisa had great hospitality and even left us treats. I would stay here again but longer next time to enjoy the fire pit .

We were lucky enough to get to stay a full week in HNH cabin. We will definitely go back. It is small- but perfect for couples or small family. There is so much close by to keep you occupied - if you really need to do something other than sit by a campfire or relax in the hot tub. We hiked and went horseback riding in Brown County and we went shopping in Nashville and ate lots (too much...?lol) good food and ended the trip off with a concert at the Brown County Music Center.
This is the perfect place for a peaceful, serene getaway! Easy to find and had everything you could need and more! The hot tub was amazing!

Great Stay, exactly as pictured. We appreciated the snacks and thoughtful amenities. The hot tub was one of the best I’ve used. The massage part of it was amazing!! Had what you needed to cook a meal. The location was perfect, finally a secluded cabin with nobody around to get some peace and quiet. Still close to hiking. Had a great staycation. The seasonal decor was a nice touch as well - not many places do that.

Perfect weekend getaway to unwind at a cabin in the woods. Cozy and clean. Small touches with a Christmas tree and snack basket made it all the more welcoming. We enjoyed puzzles, games and evenings in the hot tub! Will absolutely be back to stay again!
